Also choose how many persons that will be staying on the holiday.

A practical thing before you leave that you will be happy to know. Find out how to get from the airport to your hotel. It’s no fun at all to stand by the taxi queue in the rain, only to find out that the taxi drivers are on strike. Have a plan B ready and check how to get to your hotel by bus or train.
Also remember to have some local currency in your bag in case you can’t pay with your credit card.
